They are ugly and stink! That’s why everybody avoids them. Forced into a life of hiding by society’s intolerance, the Cheese Gang doesn’t give up. After all, the few kids that know them, understand how great they really are.
Saving the city from enemies such as the Transpiration Man and Mr. Vocal Dysfunction our heroe’s persist in hiding. Regardless of their lack of super-powers or dangerous weapons they can count on Rock’s (the lab’s monitor) brains to fight evil. The mystery surrounding their lives turns them into true myths idolized by the children.
This is how New York lives in conflict between the adults that are afraid of the cheese and the children that love, worship ‘Cheesemania’.
Ten Boy
Comedy/Adventure
Boys/Girls 8-11
Ten Boy is a great kid with an ‘obamic’ talent for leadership. He loves playing soccer in the last remaining green spot of the neighborhood. Very concerned about environmental issues such as global warming, he will do anything to stop Zigmond I from building a 1500 storey-glassy-skyscraper on the site.
Soccer is a sport that captures like no other the passion, and translates it into education and entertainment for billions of people around the world. Soccer does not differentiate race, age, gender, social class or religion. Playing soccer, boys and girls learn how to run with the ball, to assume responsibilities, work enthusiastically, deal with the differences and last but not least, learn the meaning of the word team. And that’s what Ten Boy is all about. Ten Boy is an ordinary kid moved by his passion forsoccer.
He is the leader of a tiny-tiny team with his friends in the neighborhood. Together they fight Zigmond I for the survival of the soccer field, the last green area around the block. Zigmond I is a mogul of the real estate business, an entrepreneur that makes all efforts to raise a building in every square meter that he can spot. And the field is the area he covets most to build a huge and ugly shopping mall.
Painted Faces
Comedy/Adventure
Boys/Girls 4-6
Lia and her brother Ace may look like ordinary kids… because that’s exactly what they are! They like to play hide and seek and to hear good stories before sleeping. But their favorite activity is Face Painting. With a little help from Mommy and Daddy, they can imagine themselves having magical powers, being animals or even superheroes. Sometimes, they are even joined by the entire neighborhood. An ancient tradition, adopted in the entire world by kids and parents, in a new and imaginative book and animated series.
Why Face Painting?
Face Painting enhances children self-esteem by making literally their fantasies come true. Is popular among boys and girls, with specific designs for each gender. Through Face Painting, children feel more beautiful, confident and powerful, by saying “Look at me!” Face Painting is popular in every single country. According to Google Trends, the top 5 are: Australia, South Africa, New Zealand, UK and Ireland.
Why create a TV series about Face Painting?
Children are overwhelmed by information. With the Internet, videogames and toys man- ufactured in China, many parents are worried about this overexposure. Such parents are also part of the last offline generation, and are trying to give their children a more authentic childhood, taking them to bookstores, children concerts and outdoor activities. Face Painting is a unique concept, because it makes parents and children come closer, create their own adventures and play together, because children will always need their parents to paint them.
How Popular Face Painting is?
People are Face Painting their kids all the time. There are 26.000 video-tutorials at YouTube, mostly in kids. 955.000 images at Google Images, compared to 926.000 of Finding Nemo, 200.000 of Backyardigans, and 110.000 of Lazy Town. It’s popularity transcends media and reaches every culture, from japanese to latin.
